This was another retro styled project reviving one of my old movies. This time, my vampire epic, Vampyre.
The synopsis:
James is determined to die. That is, until the dark and mysterious Lavére drifts into his life, bringing with him a most intriguing offer… Eternal life free from pain and suffering. The catch? An unquenchable thirst for living blood!
I wanted to match the exaggerated, slightly camp style of the Hammer horror films of the 60’s and 70’s. The main challenge in creating the poster was in having to use very low quality source images. To balance this, I leant into an exagerated, painterly look.
For the disk design, I went in a different direction and tried to create something more modern that explored the concept of the film.
